SpaceX is targeting Monday, March 30 for Falcon 9’s launch of the Transporter-16 mission to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4E (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. Liftoff is targeted for 4:02 a.m. PT with additional opportunities available until 4:16 a.m. PT. If needed, there is a backup opportunity on Tuesday, March 31 during a 57-minute launch window that opens at 3:19 a.m. PT.
A live webcast of this mission will begin about 15 minutes prior to liftoff, which you can watch here and on X @SpaceX. You can also watch the webcast on the X TV app.
This will be the 12th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched SDA T1TL-B, SDA T1TL-C, and nine Starlink missions. Following stage separation, the first stage will land on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship, which will be stationed in the Pacific Ocean.
Transporter-16 is a dedicated smallsat rideshare mission. There are 119 payloads on this flight, including cubesats, microsats, hosted payloads, a reentry vehicle, and orbital transfer vehicles carrying eight of those payloads to be deployed at a later time. To date, SpaceX has launched more than 1,600 payloads to orbit across our entire Rideshare program.
There is the possibility that residents of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties may hear one or more sonic booms during the launch, but what residents experience will depend on weather and other conditions.
